Are you telnetting into the BBS from the same computer DOSBox-x is running on? Or completely externally? Perhaps your firewall is blocking port 23.
Also--is there a reason you're using 6.25 instead of MBBS10?

Re: MBBS 6.25 Free Edition - Network Setup
I had this working with DOSBox-x at one time. I'll have to see if I still have my setup saved somewhere so I can see how I did it. I think I just followed the setup instructions that came with it, though. I don't remember there being anything special that I had to do that wasn't there. I'll look for...

Re: Adding ANSI Graphics to pages
Most of what you're looking for will be found in the Edit Text Blocks configuration tool (sometimes called CNF6 by old-schoolers). The preview of the text block will include a "WGSDRAW" button which will open the ANSI editor. If you want to import a file created in a different editor, you'...

Re: adding games
You just put all those files into the main BBS directory.... probably BBSV10 for your setup. Then run the Menu Tree Editor (WGSRUNMT.EXE) and you can add it to your menu there. You can use the Major BBS 6.2 Sysop Manual located in the files section of www.themajorbbs.com for reference on things like...

Re: Hostdeny.txt
Another person's hostdeny.txt would likely be useless to you. Your own is probably also useless. These scripters that attack the login almost always spoof their IP address, so you could potentially (but highly unlikely) be blocking someone's actual IP address who might be trying to connect at some p...

Re: Modules not showing
The .DMD files would only exist if you had disabled the module in WGSDMOD. It just renames the .MDF to .DMD so the BBS knows not to load it. I have never seen the issue where the modules don't appear listed in WGSDMOD. Are you positive you're putting them into the right directory? All of the files s...

Re: Crash - Stryker/Brinker RPG Games
Nah I think Zorgon is a Sort Arts module. It wouldn't have the same bug.

Re: Modules not showing
It should list anything that's "enabled" in the WGSDMOD offline utility. Basically "enabled" means there's a (module).MDF file, and "disabled" means there's a (module).DMD file. Make sure you're copying in a .MDF file along with the .DLLs and .MSGs and whatnot. If there...
