Re: majormud 1.11p

There's no area specifically here to address support for MBBS 6.25 so I'll go ahead and assist but am conscious this isn't Add-on related. There's 2 things to consider here for your scenario. 1. You're trying to upload from the local console. 2. You're trying to upload from a Telnet application. Not...

Re: majormud 1.11p

Glad to hear it! In time, you'll get more comfortable with the BBS settings (and menus) and you can move things around and personalize everything.

I'm allergic to the way you have things setup but I understand you're getting reacquainted with the system :)

Re: majormud 1.11p

For checks and balances, make sure your CNF Option "PLAYKEY" matches that of what you put on the menu page (Key Required for "GO"?: <KEY>) Next up, the default license for BBSV6 was 2 - if you paid for a license seat of 8 for MUD but your board has a license for 2, you'll hit a h...

Re: majormud 1.11p

Go into option 2 for the Design Menu Tree. From here you have 2 options: 1. Hit ENTER on TOP and create a page that can be accessed from the main menu; or 2. Create an orphan page, like you've done, which will not appear on the menu and likely require a "GO" option. Since you've gone with ...

Re: majormud 1.11p

Yes, that's right. The install for the MajorBBS v6.25 differs slightly from the WG ones. The first option is the install folder - leave as is - hit ENTER. The next option is to select where you want the install to go - this defaults to C:\BBSV6 - and you can change this to whatever you want (ie C:\M...

Re: majormud 1.11p

All official installs will require the installation via the INSTALL.EXE file. All 15 versions I have specific for the MajorBBS v6.25, from WCCR5P(x) to WCCR7P(x), all require this method of install. Be aware, to receive a copy in the format you're requesting - expanded files only - may mean your cop...

Re: majormud 1.11p

Your best bet for MajorMUD documentation is the WCCMMUD.RLN.

This covers installation, the CNF configuration options as well as some helpful functions and utilities.

Re: Board Stats

I did this. First and foremost: Copy your existing directory to a backup location - not zipped (your want quick access to files if needed) Install a clean version of MBBSv10 and port/replace in all relevant pre-v10 core files only (just focus v10 files for now, not ISV modules): - .DAT files (your d...

Re: Console Stats not populating

We've identified the culprit. The server was former WG3; the migration was successful; although the WG3 registry entries were left in place and co-existed with The Major BBS v10. They were not removed and were left in place for historical (and emotional) purposes and in the event of a rollback was r...
