You may have downloaded a demo which will work (but may be time limited).

I am just saying that some of the instructions may relate to using pirated keys. The instructions should still be applicable for installation.

From memory you have to manually extract the files from the .Z file using icomp.

There is a site that explains the full setup process however the site also promotes the pirating of MMUD and Worldgroup so I will not refer to it.

If you do not legally own a licence to MMUD, please don't run it.

There was another thread here recently with a similar issue, there are a couple of ways but the easiest is probably to login to the BBS as a sysop and there will be a system menu. Once there, an edit option is available and you can modify users through that. Within the console you can use shift-tab ...

Try running this manually from the command line (from the directory where MBBS is installed):

WGSCNF.exe -L4 (For general settings)
WGSCNF.exe -L3 (For security and accounting)

Activation codes for MMUD are put in via the sysop menu within the game. The CNF options should be there however from memory they will be under the heading WCC.
