Hello All,

I am the sysop at Grimoirebbs. Grimoire is a relatively new BBS, we came online in 2013. I purchased my WorldGroups from Elwynor in the same year.

I took the BBS down in 2015 and brought it back up last year.

The BBS focuses on Majormud, not much else. Looking forward to see what new features come out.

Would be nice for an official Majormud patch to come out that fixes the known bugs =).

build a testing team i got ya... i am working on a brand new majormud engine, all i got right now is all databases imported into a sqlite file and the initial engine where you can enter the menu.... i never played so to accomplish this i would need players testing and telling me what is right/wrong... last time i did this my Tele-Arena Engine came out great.

Oh wow that's great Daniel -- I didn't realize MajorMud was abandonware, i have some ideas as well and have reverse engineered some of the calculations for char stats and buffs.

Would love to partner with you on this to help fill in the blanks.

so abandonedware might be a grey area.... technically they did abandon it and the customers/sysops
but not sure what the legal standpoint would be, however this is what i do know.
GreaterMud was done 10 years ago and they never said one word to them so i would say it is a safe
bet noone will mess with us.

ok fair enough i will begin getting a preliminary engine done as a starting point and put it on my test bbs.

Greetings folks,

Late-Game-Sysop here (that's my way of saying I'm brand new and as of the time of this writing am waiting on an activation code for MBBSv10).

I played a lot of Tele-Arena and MajorMUD back in the day, and providing a classic (and new?) experience for my old BBS friends is my top priority.

Daniel, I've been following some of your work on Tele-Arena and am very impressed. I'd be thrilled to see your work on MajorMUD, too. Has there been any more traction on this? If there's any way I can help you test on my BBS after I get it set up, I'd be happy to help.

if you can assemble a small team that can volunteer some time here and there playtesting it could go much faster.
my projects move as fast as the interest in them.
