it essentially works. i just need to create a better security system.

when i start my new majormud rewrite, stick around. i have a plan
to rewrite the game using all my own code. already built the game's
database. would be fun to have a newer engine.

nightmare would have to be modified to edit an sqlite database and my
engine would eliminate the use of btrieve. but after that yeah it would
work as i would not change the layout, structures, systems, etc...

So, Undrground currently runs a partially broken TA. I havent dug deeply in, and to be honest I forget what I was doing on it when i took it offline years ago. It seems to be the elwta1 engine that Rick gave me to test years back. but some of the game content is... off, some monster names are weird, and some message displays are weird, and t2 arena is not functional. I cant remember if I was trying to edit the world, or if it came to me this way.

At any rage, i have two goals. First is just to get a functional TA 5.6 world working, so I and others can play the game they remember.

What I've always dreamed of doing, is a completely new world i'd started cooking up years ago, but never had the ability to fully implement. New towns, new worlds, all new monsters, completely new world. The classes and races i'd likely leave the same, at least for now.

So, someday, i'd like two games running, one my world, a thing i've been calling in my head "Underground TA" for years, and a stock (or mostly stock) 5.6.

So, all that being said, if i could get my hands on one of your 5.6 ports, with an editor for minor changes, i've always had a few gripes with the stock world ;), and the game engine.

Ill drop you a DM. Seems my cant remember my password on your board either.. so Im going to have to get that worked out too. :p

That's exactly why we have the Tele-Arena Game Engine coming -- so folks CAN build their own Tele-Arena worlds! And eventually, share them

Hit me up - I'll get you a replacement for TA1 that you have; it's ancient. :)
