User Timeout

Post by sduensin »

No matter what I seem to do, telnet users get timed out after a minute. I'm not using credits, I've disabled idle timeout, I'm not applying timeouts to any channel types. What did I miss?

Do you mean when they are pending a login or once they have already logged in?

Are you running DialSoft Control? If so have you set something there that could be causing it?

After they're online. I do have CONTROL (as it was packaged with V10) but I haven't done anything with it yet.

It would be worth checking to see. Easiest way would be to disable control and test.

Appreciate the advice. I'll give it a try.

Check that you haven't set them up for 1 minute per call in the user class definition.

I've removed CONTROL and checked the class settings. USER is UNLIMITED.

I think after doing that, I found the problem - although it makes no sense. I believe HAPROXY was dropping idle connections. However, my user as a sysop could sit there all day... and also used HAPROXY! So I dunno. It's working now. Maybe just re-setting all the options in various places made something "stick". Gotta love computing sometimes. :-)
