There is likely to be two reasons:
1 - You haven't set wgsappgo.exe to run as an administrator as required.
2 - The MKDE process is staying open for some reason after you shut the BBS down and try to re-open it. You can manually kill it via task manager.
I am banking on reason 1 which is commonly missed when setting up for the first time.

ok I got mud installed and working but with one problem in the config area there is no mmud showing so i can add my codes its in demo mode now and working fine
is there a file maybe thats missing that puts in the area for the codes? I was wondering is the area you put the codes in maybe in the mmud.dll?

Crash on me the first time I use it. Just shuts down and leaves the log window open.
After running as Admin, I got a boot screen with the main console the second time. A few minutes later it crashed again.
One thing is for sure the first fix I see is window scaling needs work. I try to make the window larger I get garbage.
My Old Version 1.01 works fine under Windows XP with Dan's Packet Driver. And I can go Fullscreen with ALT+Enter.
Good Luck with the Development of Version 10.

MMUD activation codes are entered in-game under the Sysop menu.

you can edit the file manually WGSMMUD.MSG and under LEVEL3 enter your game code and mmud-plus code if wgscnf is not giving it to you.
