Dan: spot on. We need to combine forces not splinter into individual projects for individual reasons. That's always been the thing that kept this from moving forward. Everyone had their own agenda and goals.

Not a ton. We are trying to get things back to normal and make everything available again. It'd be nice to have a single download with all the updated DLLs and such in place, so there's some work toward that.

Honestly, if I could raise 6-8k I would open source the entire baseline and widen the ...

Hey folks... the failure of the server that was hosting us was two fold - the drive died, they didn't have a mirror... and worse, they never setup backup despite us requesting it.

So I had to rebuild everything from the backups that fortunately I saved when I build THAT server. But it cost us 2 ...

It's not working. I think I have to bounce the entire server - Hurricane Sandy DID knock out the datacenter briefly and when it came back up it was messed up.

I'm just too lazy to bounce it right now :)

When did the board go down and when did it come back online? What could have changed between then and now? What are the time periods in each case?

Just odd that this is happening of a sudden. How often is this happening?

MailLink was MajorNet. It's no different, really, than Worldlink so it's been superseded at this point.

DBSMail was a great module that tossed Fido networks while the BBS was up but the author looked for it and alas it was lost.

Did you be sure to set the DNS server IP address in the configuration? It won't dial without it.

You don't need approval to use worldlink.themajorbbs.com - the first time you connect it'll create the account for your BBS.
