Since I cannot get my TA editor fixed (without Sean) and the main reason why I bought WG 2.0 or to find a completly clean editor (thanks Dan, but it was with errors) I will ask my Son if he wants all the goodies and if not I think I will just trash everything, don't feel like selling or ebaying it. ...

You can't leave it blank. If it's blank, everyone has all sysop functions. Leave SYSOPKEY set to sysop. Change GAMOPKEY to whatever key you want to assign the game-op powers to (I used wccgameop). The .ini file will then let you limit which game-op powers they actually have rather than giving them ...

Wondering if their is a sysop only utility to bypass users busy signal, without having to go to the emulation screen and type on the users screen? Would be handy to get a message to the user with some kind of util. to bypass all busy's. :?:

I have had this going for years and it worked great, since my last switch of servers I get a "incorrect DOS version" when the server hits the bbsclean.bat
something like this,

xcopy c:\wgserv *.* /s d:\wgserv

The server has DOS 6.22 on it and also win98se.

Any suggestions?

Well I was able to pull up a posting from the old forumsHQ using the waybackmachine - it actually still let me link to post, It mentions clearing out the gameop or wccgameop and leaving that blank, could that possibly be why it didnt work for me ?

For some reason that didn't work. I just changed the goto's for areas and map and used my GAMES key. Logging in an account without master and tried and did nothing buy say "sysop goto silvermere" checked that account key ring and it already had the GAMES key. ?

Well this might be asking the obvious, but have you updated the IP address associated with your no-ip.com domain name using their little update utility for your account? Perhaps try switching your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 which is google's free dns server and see if that makes a difference in resolvin...

Yeah Im running the 'ol WG2.0 DOS version, and just trying to block access. Doesn't matter about the message they get or logged to the audit, but at some point I may use the option for the message.

i had alot of issues with 3.15b so i went with 3.14a and everything went smoothly. you can also install x00 fossil, rename x00.sys to x00.com and load/unload from command line. Well it seems that the version of SBBS I was running 3.13 needs to be upgraded to 3.15. I found a sysop who shot me his config. for this door, so should be good to go - something about the fossil not working in 3.13 with w2k. :oops:
