Welp,
Ragtop is right, Netvillage's worldlink is working again. For how long who knows, but I guess everyone can log into that for now until Rick resurfaces.

There are only about 6 systems on it, but that's what I did. Maybe if we get more systems on it it will be more active? Mostly MUDders tho.

Quick question.
I forgot how to do this.
How does one ban certain IP addresses from accessing the worldgroup BBS both via telnet as well as web?
Thanks

Worldgroup 3 and GE
Any update on this?
I will be willing to test a port of the game if someone wants.
Mostly my BBS is being used to test stuff out anyway as more people call my Synchronet BBS. So the WG has been more of a hobby these days. But I'd love to get my hands on the GE for WG 3

Re: Telnet not working
Welp, i checked the card and it gave me the following:
IP 192.168.0.1
255.255.255.0 mask
gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1
only one DNS was listed.
so i put in 0.0.0.0 into the secondary field.
its still not working.
Ive tried the other IP address that showed me online when i checked online ...

Ok your router should be IP 192.168.0.1 and you would used that for the Gateway and DNS on the PC, the PC's IP should be set to obtain one automatically. you PC IP would not be 192.168.0.1 that is the router.
And as frcorey was pointing out and it went over my head was that in your router you will ...

One thing i did notice is that the router gave different info for the DNS as what the ethernet card info gave.... not sure that matters.
