Packet Driver Prob -- Hope someone can help

Post by nitromike2006 »

Greetings:

I have obtained an IBM PS/2 Model 95 with a Microchannel 3com 3c523 NIC card and I have had zero luck finding a packet driver for DOS for this card. We have tried several 3com driver disks ranging from version 2 -4 and the pd seems to be missing. Anyone have a thought on how we can get this setup so WG2 can talk to the NIC card.

Thanks,

Mike

@despain: The packet driver you specified definitely DOES NOT work with the machine. however we found a 3rd party driver that does.

We ended up using the Crynwr 3c523 driver and it works now.

Thanks to all who responded.

It's MicroChannel, all bets are off when you enter that mystical realm. ;)

Heck, I just pitched some MC cards the other day, cleaning out my junk pile!

yeah when it came to running WG as a net server i found 3com to be the pick of the litter, their dos drivers were flawless in bbs operation.
