Having problems with SCSI and WGDOS

Post by Malakai »

Since I've been working on trying to get a bigger, faster, better DMA server up, I've had some problems trying to get any of my SCSI drives to boot up WG DOS. On my dell PC, it seems to have no problems, but with the same drives and scsi card on the new DMA server, it hangs right after the BBS starts to load. It also does this on my eserver, which has a built in scsi card.

My SCSI card is an adaptec 2940 something, and it's not the raid one that I'm going to be buying later, but since this is a problem with my eserver, which also has an integrated adaptec aic-7899 controller, I'm wondering if any scsi card put in this computer is going to have this happen.

Since I'm not an expert on SCSI, could there be a jumper or setting inside the scsi controller bios that could be causing the problems?
