Questions

Post by banjaxster »

I had a board crash that looks to be caused by T-Lord,is there
a way a user can cause a board crash in the game?
I have run the offline reindex utilty.
I got the following Error: access violation.
attemp to read from 65687420.
Does anyone know where this WG event log is at ?
When the board crashes all I have ever got was the white box with the error.
Be nice to read the log if I could find it.
Thanks

ok then thats an exception error GALEXCEP.OUT
when it doesnt restart its like the old red screen errors of before.

ok i have tlord as well, never seen that one, possibly an IGM exploit,etc..?

i know users if they die and can crash it it will do that cause tlord doesnt do save as it goes it saves everything in the end.
point me in the direction of the igms ill tinker with em on my dev system.

also what version of WG you running?

yeah prolly 3.3, believe it or not 4.0 is more stable than 3.3 but the code is a fucking mess.
3.2 is still the best route, i personally use 3.12 but i have a 3.2 and a 3.3 server up to make sure my products work well with em.
you wouldnt believe the changes i have made to code for something to be 3.3 compatible while running majormud + tele-arena 6.0.

I think I found the tlord problem,it was with the distant places igm, some of the files were missing.I restored the missing ones.
How that happened I have no idea.
Hopefully no more crashes due to T-Lord

Well I thought I had the crashes due to T-lord were fixed,I disabled the Igm
Distant Places but today at 4pm it crashed again with access violation: Tyring to read from 2e326068.
Has someone discovered a way to crash a bbs using Tlord?
