SUCCESS!

Worked great questman! Thanks for the response. It has brought me to my next question, how do you set a static IP in VMWare using the virual bridge.

It's pulling DHCP addresses. I would change it in the on my OS but I am using DOS 6.22 and i have no lan manager or anything installed. I also would assign a static to that mac address, but my router doesn't have that option.

Well, why do you care - what I mean is, the packet driver will install on the NIC, but Major BBS / Worldgroup sets the IP. If you set it to static, it should always use that IP.

HA! Awesome, what an idiot I am, it works. Things have changed so much, it's hard to imagine I used to refuse to go to windows I was stuck in DOS, now I can't remember this archaic stuff to save my life. For some reason I didn't think that WG would manipulate the IP... i guess thats why you use a packet driver eh? Heh!

Well this is why i decided to start it back up, it's like learning it all over again. Many thanks for the help sofar.
