POLL: Switch to WIKI?

To help get information added quickly, and so that folks can add information about themselves and their ISVs, I'm considering switching the static page to a Wiki format.
I'd need a little help moderating it - Joe (CCS) offered to help the project, if he's still interested....
Anyway, what do you all think? Why or why not?

OK. I have new servers ready to be installed for my network - once they're up, I'll switch to Wiki.
I may switch to vBulletin too.
Which Flavor?

Have you decided on a flavor of Wiki? I decided to do some research and there seems to be as many flavors as there are web pages...
vBullitin...and I was just getting used to this one...

No, but I'm very open to suggestion. Was thinking the basic Wiki from Wikimedia (Wikipedia's)
Vbulletin is similar to this but a ton faster and a ton more features.

Well, not sure what type of server you plan on using / are using, but this flavor kept my attention as I read through various different 'Wiki's;
http://wikkawiki.org/HomePage
Less than 1MB initial install, support for Flash & inline graphics, plus password managment and what seem to be decent admin abilities.
- I will keep browsing - anything you particulary like or don't like?

I like MediaWiki the best, still. I've been working feverishly to port the current content over to a wiki, and then add some more before I get it up.
Hence, the lack of updates from me. I've been working -- but when I'm doing museum archival work, I can't do code work.

Yes. In fact, your user name on the forums will be your user name on the Wiki.

Well... it could. It's just a matter of developing a good SSO routine for Worldgroup.

I like what you got, but that is only me!
You could keep this but use a URL in PHPBB, PHP pages to something like this for a bug reports or fixes:
http://www.mantisbt.org/
Anyway, my two cents

Rick if you would this should be moved to General Discussion or Support Community or something, not this one, I don't know how I started this here!
But if you go to one of my BBS'S and look over Steves work with VADV PHP you could get a idea on how to set up (write) a PHP server side software program to read and write to all the dat files for world group and completly loose the server module (stock one) or write a new one to only use the dat files to read and write the data to and from!
Steves a great guy and I'm sure he wouldn't mind downloading and taking apart the php pages (looking at) to get a good idea on how it works.
I think something like this would take two or three months to finish and get into beta, tops
Then fonts, colors and page table sizes would be set to the owners taste!

Oh, and yes just cuz I am buying WG (AGAIN) doesn't mean I'm going to drop this BBS! Being I started out with VA long, long ago I'm keeping it also!
