I don't know if everyone knows whats going on with Majormud and Metro.
Metro is in the process of selling off MMUD and a co-op of sysops and players
are trying to buy it,also another group calling a new version of MMUD called greatermud is working on their version.
The co-op of sysops and the greatermud people are both at odds with each other over Mud and a question of who owns worldgroup has come up.
This question is directed at questman, who owns it? You claim to,can you logon the co-op forum and tell them?
The URL is http://users.boardnation.com/~entconn/index.php
click co-op after you sign up.
Thanks

Thanks for the heads up, on both counts...

I was just reading in the coop forum and now Marc at dialsoft says that Netvillage still owns WG,also they have started a new topic called worldgroup you maybe interested in reading.
I know the ownership of wg is a real mess as you have stated in your post in those forums, claims and counter claims as to ownership.
All i want is for new programs to run on my boards and some old games ported to wg3.
I have no interest who the legal owner is though it would be nice to see this settled so everyone can move on.

Marc never said Netvillage owns it. He simply told the guy that the only person selling it is Nate. But Nate's sales aren't legal.

It's rather important who owns MBBS/WG -- because that's what MMUD (and everything else add-on) requires to run.

What? No "BetterMUD" first?

Maybe we can actually convince this "other group" to call the game something a little more original. I mean, something actually resembling a title instead of a descriptive term about what it actually is.

Unless, of course, we all feel that the next cool game that comes out for today's consoles should be titled "CCGESL" (Cool Console Game Everyone Should Like). Or that GM's next vehicle should be named "GMV" (GM Vehicle).

I have this same complaint against the Linux community (the operating system for the vowelly impaired).

I believe GreaterMUD is the absolute perfect name for the future successor to MajorMUD. ;)

MajorMUD is actually Realm Of Legends, and seems the other group isnt gonna get it, Shannon has said there are more "professional" offers.
so seems to me they are gonna sit back and get what they can.

Shannon has been regurgitating the same tired excuses for years, and I don't believe anything she says or posts.

With or without them, we are moving forward.
