I found this the other day, it apparantly traces and kills spammers.

Or start banning IP's, seems like its probably the same few people as all the pics are the same.

We do. Entire IP blocks for each post.

On one of my forums I addedd a cell to the registration page with this,

***SORRY NO RIPE NETWORK/ASIAN PACIFIC NETWOK ACCOUNTS WILL BE VALIDATED***

In bold Red, went from at least 15 a day to basically none, so some must be real people or it gets out that they can't get onto the forums to post anything, also use Admin validation so I can look up the IP 1st.

once i put together another nt dev box im gonna tinker with phpbb and write a wg drop in to fit the theme as well as talking to rick about locking posts to any forum but maybe main general until manually validated, easier to track.

yeah some are real people, they get like 5 cents or something if someone uses it, i know one pays like $1.00 if the user connects to it and creates a naccount which we know puts your email address in the target zone.
