Galactic Empire Ansi Problem?

How do you fix this bug?
It work fine in that mbbs4ever package, but not on my mbbs 6.25. I trying some "fixed" msg files, and poured over the source code, but can't find the error. like if you do a scan se you can see a ansi sequence instead of the ansi.

It's like one ansi string didn't show.
.[33m*.[37m
will show instead.

looks like the ansi directive pointer is missing.
find the line that should display and out one there.
