Couple times in the past few days this Worldgroup error log has popped up with this error and the server restarts. Any idea why?

C:\WGSERV\wgserver.exe - Access Violation Attempt to read from: 2

I wasnt able to find this anywhere on here in support.

Its an annoyance more than anything else. But I would like to know why its happening.

Thanks

This is a MUTANTS issue that i thought i installed a FIX for.
Anyone else have this issue?
Someone goes to cast a spell in the game that requires and object and this error will happen and the system will reboot.

A guy over a year ago gave me a fix for this issue i thought, but it didnt seem to work.

Anyone have any ideas?

THanks

I've not run Mutants, though would be interested in it if there could be some fix's done to it.

I remember reading some posts on the forum somewhere about Mutants having a few bugs like you're talking about and that there's no fix available at all for it.

If you do a general search threw all forums for just the word Mutants I think you might find more info. Sorry.

You may want to try increaseing the buffers and file handles to 250 in the btreive engine.

regedit then:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Btrieve Technologies\Microkernel Workstation Engine\Version 6.15\Settings
change Max Buffers to 250 and Max files to 250

It may help and it is not recomended higher than 250.
