Ever since i brought my board back online, i'm having lots of issues with system crashes.

Basically, the board will just fault, and after 30 seconds restart.

The log simply reports an access violation in c:\wgserv\wgserver.exe.

The errors i'm getting looks like this:

Looking closer at this, before i had TA1 running, i was getting access violations on elwta2-m.mcv So the issue does appear to be with the TA engine!

When did the board go down and when did it come back online? What could have changed between then and now? What are the time periods in each case?

Just odd that this is happening of a sudden. How often is this happening?

Sorry if it was unclear, i meant since i brought the board back from retirement.

Its been doing it since late June, when i first brought it up on wg3.3, but shortly after i brought it online, i added the demo version of TA2, seems that the first error logged was from right after i added ta2.

enable concecated menu commands so you can see the exact input when it crashed that way it can be traced to being either in the takick real time kicker or something from actual player input.

first crash happened right before the player attacked so it didnt get a chance to run the routine, second was during an experience check, and the 3rd was before a spell was cast, im curious, enter the game and type "attack" or "a" without a target and the same thing with cast, rule out a parsing error.

for example, before you could type edit by itself and boom offline.

tried a few commands that should have arguments, like attack, and they all worked correctly.

no crashes.

Sorry for the long silence.

I solved my problem, but im not 100% certain of the cause. I suspect resources.

I was running the board at full 255 lines, Long story short, i found that if i run at about 245 or so, it runs perfectly. I have since lowered to the 200 range, since i really dont get _that_ much traffic. I used to run my board on 40 lines and never had a problem.

Anyway, seemed related to the number of lines i had open. Maybe my VM doesnt have enough memory (512M, windows xp) to handle 255 lines.

also, it doesnt install properly with the proper resources for the btreive engine too.
