The problem I have having is that I got a lot of error's coming back to me to do with a bad loading mob. I fixed the mob and now I got 50k error messages in my email. How do you clear that at one time, rather than deleting them one by one?

Well active-html email through the web is the easiest way I've found to delete thousands of messages with as few clicks... otherwise maybe a qwk packet download that's set to delete all messages once downloaded?

Although if there are no other people using email... you could just copy a virgin dat file over the current dat file heh... wipe out all emails. (wasn't there an offline utility once to clear the emails, might have been an add-on)

Do you know the exact name of the file that holds them. I know WG keeps the backup files the .vir. Can just replace. Do you know the name of the files that hold the email?

Well depending which version you're running the file names will change but mine is the GALEML2.DAT file... plus the "email" directory holds any attachments to those emails in the file.

You also should be able to view the DAT file in windows notepad, and scroll down into it to verify its holding all the emails... will be a lot of symbols and codes muttering it up but once you scroll down to where you see the plain text you can see if those are indeed your emails.

I think Iceman is right, the best/quickest way would be the html interface. If you are running 3.2 or 3.3 both the Java and non-java interface will let you delete multiple emails.

i just put this on my todo list i will make a command where we can delete all emails from A/A, but right now goto your domain/email login and delete em all.
