Whats the command to launch Worldgroup again in Majorbbs format I am to lazy to read all these docs (been a minute since I played with it).

I made a bunch of ansi screens and such for the bbs (non of them clear
the screen) so say someone logs on it's like a complete zip through
everything to the main menu with no stop along the way, unless they
have email waiting then it stops... Is there a pause or something I can
toss in, it just ...

sounds great, ill make a txt->html converter and a bbs listing database
you can have it grab from there.

I'm interest in getting into this was reading through the docs on this last night, although the concepts are there I don't exactly get how the heck you import or export the news to and from the system. I never really messed much with NNTP over the years. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to the dos prompt, the worldgroup directory, and type WGSRUNMT. This will allow you to add, remove, or edit the menu options. You can also do this on-line from worldgroup manager. Just login as sysop and click on the menu editor.

for the menu seclection, I know you can do this from

in 1991, I started around 1989 with it back w Quest for Magic. I ran the first Majorbbs in Denver, Colorado when it ran off a IBM 8088 XT (lol), I remember upgrading to a 286 (gz), in any case back then you had to compile and link ...
