Remember the early 90's when you spent hours playing on that BBS, well its back. This is an old Timer's BBS with many of the old games without any edits. Very impressed you guys have all lost me. I am trying to run my old version of MBBS and twars 2.00p? i think. I have tried to play the newer versions but never liked all the new stuff. Hey long time not on.. I have the OLD Version of MBBS 2.03 and i never saw TWPro where can i get it from? I googled it and no luck.

I can run the Twars GOld package i got too but unsure how to connect them, i am guessing rlogon but never done that.

Is there ANY way to edit the MBBS Tradewars characters? I tried that exe and it told me to try another exe program which didnt work.

Well i would guess that the there were no addons if what i remember was from early 90's . I guess better leave it way it was.

I know i played on a board about a year ago and when i did kill a ferrengi it only gave me one pay out the old version im thinking of gave me 2 different ones . Well i am running an old version of MBBS with Tradewars already plugged in and seems i cant change setting like i can with the gold package i bought. I will just run it liek that just would like the option where Killing the Ferrengi means something :). Seems like i can play Twars without other's ...

Great advice just stopped home for lunch and saw all of them will try them tonight. As far as Trapping Ferrengi it was not a command just from what i remember a corp had a sector set up with two planets. One they protected one opened for others to t-port out.

What i cant figure out is how Ferrengi ...

Yes i have seen that report. Can you see that report online? The other half was how do i change the sysop's password?

How do i go about finding other players passwords and as well changing the sysop's password in the MBBS version.

Thanks i got the tcp/ip package just started it back up and thought it came with it.

Idea meaning if your in a game you use to be able to just put /p and you can page from where every that still around how do change that. ? And you could look to see who was on as well.

Wonder if anyone remembers how to change the global settings. Dont seem to find it. Realized no paging right now.

Looks like the whole thing was my set up.. It first instructed me to set the IP as a different on than my router. I finally just set it as my IP and it worked. Amazing And just in time for the Jet game..

I believe it may be the modem though but i also think that Optimumonline does not support "servers". Anyway way around porting 23?

So your saying that even if i can't connect telneting to my own IP, someone from the outside maybe able to?

Not sure what loopback is can i just look at the router and find out.. What is loopback?

I have the MBBS all set up and able to telnet between the computers on the network but when i try to connect to the bbs by putting in my IP address(real one) I am unable to connect. I have Linksys wrt54G and forwarded the MBBS port 23 to 23 and both (UDP TCP) to the correct 192.168.1.102. Any ideas ...

I dont think they firewalled 23 but i figured i give it a shot on the router to forward it since it was not letting me connect. I am also running 6.25 Major/TCP.

I was wondering how i can test my server? Now i have it set up and i am able to log on using the intranet (192.168.1.150) but i wanna see if others outside can log on that way how do i try it. I have tried to use my IP but does not connect. Anyone also know ho to get a free Domain for the BBS ...

I was wondering Im seeing a lot about the Owner Rick not releasing this. I was wondering if theres any chance of getting it or getting a hold of him to purchase this game? Love to see what i can do without anyone else in the game:)
