Ya know, there was a guy that actually created weather stations that hooked in to MBBS.. He was trying to market them, but I think the people that came on to his board was more interested in games and chat than weather stations!

i remember that, i remember quite a few ideas that didnt really take back in the day and is heavily used nowadays.

me and 3 other guys were gonna make a site where AOL users could make/host their profiles w/o the restrictions AOL's TOS was putting on there and we did for quite a few people but didnt wanna invest too much money into it as we saw AOL dwindling and it went away, then 3 yrs later someone did the same thing, i think they call it myspace today

i remember a guy talking to me back in 1995 wanting to put a global classified ad up where people could sell stuff with a section where they could host auctions, he wanted to do it from within his worldgroup 1.01 system, he didnt find too many interested imagine if he had started the first e-bay

BBsing started it all, i play alot of world of warcraft and its funny to see all these ideas implemented that i remember in old text muds on bbses.
