Pharlap Question

Post by frcorey »

I see that the exe from a mbbs or wg disc don't need the pharlap installed, but the exes I compile want pharlap installed. What is the compile time switches to compile the pharlap libs into my exes?

You only need pharlap to compile major 6.xx and below. I dont have the older dev kit install but the wg 3NT (no pharlap) will compile in about 20-30 min on a dual cpu P3-700 mhz in raid 5. It take about the same time to complie wg 2 dos on same machine so I dont think the older major 5-6xx would be much different time wise.

No, you need Pharlap for all the dos versions.
Hence the name Dos-Extender, yeah, I know the nt versions don't need pharlap. I was asking for my mbbs 6.25. Which, won't run unless Pharlap is in the path. but stock discs did not come with Pharlap.
So, that why I was asking.

I stand corrected, if you need Pharlap its available in my file area DEVMAJOR. Pharlap 3.04 and 3.12

well, you are getting a little closer. I guess I will wait for a mbbs/wg Programmer to answer my question. Like I said, I have everything. I just need to know the compiler switches to compile in the pharlap libs into my exe. which seems to be confusing you somewhat.

I see in the pharlap and dos extender files thier are several docs refering to the various command line switches.
