Obtaining Installation Files

Post by Splat »

An old friend of mine, former Sysop and I would love to get our old BBS back up and running. Problem is - we don't have any of the original installation disks anymore.

It's a miracle I saved the BBS at all a few years back. Roughly around 2001 I was the Sysops house and noticed 3 old QIC-80 tapes labeled "BBS Backup". I hooked up a good ole Colorado Tape drive running off the floppy drive and managed to pull data off one tape - the other two were dead. Unfortunately the backup was missing all subfolders of the BBSV6 directory.

I have a barely-functional version of the BBS that I have gotten to boot, run, and accept telnet connection saved in a VMWare image, but it GPs the second you look at it funny (or activate a global chat channel.... ). Ah good times.

I've managed to pull our activation keys out of the Menu Setups for most of the modules listed below.

I was wondering if the community here can help me identify where we could obtain the setup files for Worldgroup 2.0 and the following modules:

Console Master
Cyberware Command Center
DPI Global Power
East Side computing color codes
East Side Computing Freeline
High Velocity Software Crossroads
High Velocity Software Menu Magician
High Velocity Software Metakeys
High Velocity Software Newsroom
High Velocity Software Tradewars 2002
High Velocity Utilities
Jabberwocky Flowershop
Jabberwocky Food Fight
Jabberwocky Ringmasters
Logicom Blademaster
Logicom Blox
Logicom Command Center
Logicom Electronic Fairways
Logicom Guess What
Logicom Outlink
Logicom The Casino
Logicom Yahtzee
MUI Swords of Chaos
Sirius MailLink
Sirius RoadHouse
SoftArts Command Center
TTI Backgammon
TTI Checkers
TTI Chess
TTI Cross-Wordz
TTI Global Actions
TTI Hearts
TTI Horsetrack
TTI Jumble
TTI Liar
TTI Log Master
TTI Othello
TTI Pig
TTI Video Poker
Vircom TCP/IP
WG Stats
WG VizChat
Mutants!
Tournament Legend of the Red Dragon

Any help would be appreciated on how we may be able to save Menu ANSIs, the user databases and import them into a fresh install that's not as borked as the current one.

I've got some of those mods on my board, under the SYSOPFLZ library.
