Mod

Post by JLittge »

I used to own a mod, that allowed people to play various games like DOOM, Hexen etc thru WG using an addon. My guess of the mod name was GameConnection or something simular, would be neat to have that back. I enjoyed being fragged by my users back in the day. Anyone ever have that, or know who created it?

Game Connection / Game Way / Sir Doom, by Sirrius Software. TCP-Quake by Vircom Software (requires Vircom tcpip for WG). Not to sure if you can register either one still.

There was GameWay and GameWay Pro I believe. I've probably got all the files around here somewhere.

MADM was the best one, don't know if you've got that or not.

I think I had the sirius package for WG 2.0. I lost my entire system due to a fire, and now a decade later, after seeing that there is activity here, decided to rebuild from scratch. however now V3.30.

I know it's off topic, but what does one do for the popular games like TW 2002, MajorMUD etc? I legally bought these games for my 2.0 days, but am I now screwed entirely? I'm guessing Metro is gone entirely huh?

I have some of the old sirius files but all need a reg code entered to install them so I dont have them available for download on the bbs. Let me know and I can put them up. You may also try the wishlist  not sure if its the same sirius company.

If you need Tradewars for WG I have many versions and various flavours
for Major BBS or WG2, WG3xx NT. Many other modules for wg/major in the file area also.

All of Sirius went to Dialsoft EXCEPT for Game Connection. They said there was some code in there they had to keep for other reasons but ... they might be willing to get you a copy. Sirius was responsive the last time I tried.
