I remember back in the day some board would have certain modules (like TA and MajorMUD) hosted remotely.
You would still access the modules from the menu on the BBS but then you'd see a connecting message while you were brought to the game.
I believe this was done using a DMA addon?
I was hoping to get info on this and where I could get my hands on the software I need. Basically I want to run a second MajorMUD game on my WG3.30NT system and I'm pretty sure that can be done this way.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Thanks!

running 2 majormuds on your system is as simple as hex editing the file names "WCC*.* to XXX*.* so wccmmud.dll references wuld now look for xxxmmud.dll, etc....RoBDaWG wrote:I remember back in the day some board would have certain modules (like TA and MajorMUD) hosted remotely.

then install the new majormud to c:\temp and go into that directory and rename wcc*.* to xxx*.*
you would only need dma if you want other systems "they would require the dma client" to login to your game "dma server required"
from the other system w/o having to physically connect and enter login info.
a great thing back in the day but new generation rlogin clients do that now for free.
like how you can connect to your synchronet system to act as a door server and it logs you in with your wg name automatically.
