I hear from another sysop that netvillage is selling wg version 5.2 for a cost of 199 a year.
I thought they didn't own it....

They don't.

Think I have mentioned in other posts the deatils of what it took to get my asup disk back in the late 90's out them.

Atleast Dspain makes arrangements for copywrite useage and royalty payments with the legal owner of Worldgroup products

I still don't see why Rick doesn't do something about it. I understand the legal fees, but if it is truly his, why would he just let someone sell it. Hell I'd write up a stop order myself and send it to them or something. Basically I'd find some way to stop it.

Thier was some Federal court action if I rember the post right. Not sure if it has completed all avenues or not.

Simply put - it's not worth the money the legal fees would cost. Yes, one or two guys are making a living off of maintenance agreements from large customers they "took over" when the real Galacticomm ended.

They are fully aware that they don't own it but don't care. Their attitude is "what people don't know won't hurt them" and "why legitimize when we have everything we need already"?

What would the point be of wasting all that money. I've already spent a ton getting all this stuff dug out. I'll never see it again. Why spend more to eliminate someone who frankly is irrelevant?
