i relaunched my server and to kick things off im beta testing my "newuser email verifier" module, so feel free to telnet over and check it out, any sysops interested its only $25 USD, if tests go good this week ill release the 7 day demo by the weekend for those wanting to check it out on their own system.
for those unabe to get their WG system to send emails PM me and ill help ya get synchronet acting as a smarthost to relay mail for your system.
right now i just got a bunch of entertainment modules running but i will have TWGS and about 40+ bbs doors up by next week and everyday im slowly reorganizing my file archives which will be unlocked once i have em all done.
i will also mirror the file archives for those just wanting to grab some files without connecting to the bbs and doing it.

Re: ArcticZone Online Entertainment
well i did an engine already but the beta system thats hosting it claims alot of problems with group stuff and parsing text, so as i was looking over it i noticed alot of trash in the source i had in there from when i was replicating the original so i decided to rewrite it and clean it up alot and this go round im using the 5.6d data because alot of people were asking for the tele-arena gold data.Iceman wrote:excellent (taps monte burns fingertips together) the arena shall live againdspain wrote: i will have some new betas online this week as well like the new Tele-Arena 5.6d, Tradewars II, and Usurper!

isssss tele-arena going to require an install of sqlite? or would perhaps pervasive SQL work the same?
sidenote....
Also for anyone who wanted a final update to btrieve 6.15 which I'm assuming almost everyone still uses... pervasive did have an "ultimate final patch" release if you contact them...
guessing its several years old and 99% of people probably DON'T need any changes, but just in case someone was that 1% that might have needed the few fixes.

I had been tinkering around with their PSQL workgroup 11 (its $50 versus the $800 server license) which actually contains a btrieve update as well... it gives you live access to dat files you were previously locked out of so you can use btrieve and SQL to access and edit all files live on the system... some had been using this for majormud to do things like view your character from work, logon and change things... I'm sure people might be able to come up with more creative uses if they could access all dat files through the web.
only catch its you are limited to 32-bit for the btrieve, no 64-bit update done or planned they drew the line in the sand for the future.
(should be able to search these forums and find some information on people basically doing just this and take from that.)

sqlite is an embedded engine no installation required.Iceman wrote:isssss tele-arena going to require an install of sqlite? or would perhaps pervasive SQL work the same?
