Omni-Mall and ssl
I have a question about ssl and web Omni Mall. Does anyon know how to have Web Omnimall call up a secure socket for entry of credit card information when completing an order. I do not want to have the entire mall in https because of the lag, just the credit card entry information. Any help would be appreciated.

I dont have Omni-mall, but did try setting up secure tranactions with paypal several years ago. I ended up useing offsite secure mode for donations as opposed to "subscription services" with onsite ssl.hiwayman wrote:I have a question about ssl and web Omni Mall. You will need to first configure your router ports and general CNF to use the correct port for secure webpages.
Then start up "secure web pages" from http//yourbbsname.xxx/control and configure secure mode for all htm's if you havent done that already.
Then configure the ssl certificate from your finanacial institution and make sure windows or other isnt trying to take control of the ssl port.
Hopefully this helps get you on the right path. If I rember correctly the problem with paypal was they needed a apache/mysql php type server for the ssl certificate to work right. I hope to be adding a store in the near future also and it will be all WG based.

Thanks fot the response, but I do not think this will work. The Omnimall pages are Active HTML. The instructions for using secure web pages is not for AHTML

You will want to run thru the config for secure pages and secure ALL webpages. Then run the setup for Secure Sockets.
You may want to get ahold of Questman for the SSL module (secure sockets layer) if you dont have it registered yet.
