chat rooms

Post by dspain »

hey anyone else think it would be a cool idea to create either an IRC or web chatroom for the site?

i got an irc daemon, but if anyone else has some cool software lets talk about it
i think it owuld be a good idea for other sysops, wg developers, etc... to chat.

Why not just use WG?

My system isn't going anywhere, I'd be glad to make a area for sysops only. but yes, a place to chat would be good.

My BBS as well. I have interlink running with 3 to 5 BBS telecon's linked. We should use a BBS and not use a web verssion. Why set the stuff up and support it if we won't even use it our selfs.

Actually, I keep the HTML and Java side of Tele, email and the forums up. I found those that still use Tele seem to prefer the web side of things. About the only telnet users I see are those looking for games.

Actually, the web forums allows easy preview of .jpg's which telnet doesn't and the web email handles email from yahoo and such better, you can see attachments/graphics easier.

All anyone has to do is login.. set up a private channel, and let others in.
