Re: IRC
In Telnet mode, the I doesn't do anything. IN C/S mode with WGM I get waiting to connect to server. I set the port to 6667 and used the names you have above.dspain wrote:i have before, in level4 config be sure to set a server to connect to.The Bandit wrote:Is anyone running IRC on WG 3.x? Do you have the proper dns IP setup in worldgroup? If not, worldgroup can act strangely sometimes and most likely takes its dns from the router, which can be sometimes a bit slow, and other times, not connect at all.
Now, I'm not sure if you need to do anything with the ident, but a few servers won't let you login without a ident response when logging through mirc, etc.

I'm still not 100% sure of the DNS set-up, I have a static IP from DSL. I have a router, but put OPENDNS DNS servers in both WG and the local TCIP settings. I can access the web interface, C/S mode, and telnet. The only things I can't do for some reason is send/receive internet email and IRC. This might be the result of a DNS issueMalakai wrote:Do you have the proper dns IP setup in worldgroup? irc.rizon.net is free for all or even try an EFNET server.
also check your DNS resolution sometimes if i have all my dns settings as 192.168.1.1 it wont go so i use DNS1 as my router ip and DNS2 as my secondary dns server from my isp.
