Hello All:
It has been a while since I posted on here. I took a small sabbatical from MBBS 6.2 and tried things like EleBBS (after all, my board was an RA 2.02 BBS back in the day) and tried SyncroNet as well.
For those of you who have not been able to play the home game (or been following my posts regarding my project), I have decided that these systems are not in the spirit of my project which is to run a completely "old school" system.
I recently acquired a Dell Precision 486 SX 25 which I upgraded to a full 486 DX2 66 (the mainboard supported the jumpers and I was having quite the headache with the first machine I found -- which was a Gateway 2k that had an EISA bus... became a good donor for the Dell which I finally picked up as far as cache, processor and VRAM). I had an 8 port digiboard and a ISA 3COM etherlink III net card in the gateway which of course both transferred into the Dell. (Side Note: I am still seeking a Dell 466 MXV computer if someone has one).
Long story short, I have installed DOS 6.22, WFW 3.1, QEMM 386 Version 8.02 onto the Dell. I am planning to put my MajorBBS on here as well, but I have never setup a DigiBoard (8 port) and I do have the proper drivers for the system for both DOS (Fossil) and the Windows stuff. I could use a good walkthrough on how to setup the software side on the DigiBoard.
Also, I am hoping to make my MBBS 6.2 installation available from both modems and telnet (prefer to find a way to use SSH if possible) but perhaps allowing connection to the digiboard via null modems from a server? This idea to get around the TCP/IP stack issues as well.
Look forward to your guys help!

Hi Corey:
This is a non-intelligent model. I will set the addresses further apart.. they are only 12 hex difference currently
The main idea here is to get the system working under Win 3.11 for several reasons, but two of which is:
1) To hopefully have an easier time with TCP
2) Ability to edit ANSI graphics while BBS is up
Thanks as usual.
@everyone
Still trying to figure out the drivers for the DigiBoard

I got the DigiBoard/MBBS working under DOS, it actually runs under WFW 3.11 until you bring the board up, then I get a handler error and of course it drops out again.
I wrote a PM to Toyduck and hopefully I will be able to obtain the Manuals
But in the meantime, Has anyone setup 6.25 under WFW 3.11? It may be my PIF?
BTW: I have to give BIG KUDOS to Digi! They supported my DigiBoard and even supplied a link to the later drivers that I needed, all at no cost!

I put all my 6.25 manuals in the MAIN library of my BBS; http://informationware.com, login in/setup an account and d/l them.nitromike2006 wrote:I got the DigiBoard/MBBS working under DOS, it actually runs under WFW 3.11 until you bring the board up, then I get a handler error and of course it drops out again.

I would use the web; faster than telnet; or the client, just mark and forget.
