Back from the dead..
Run of the Mill BBS is being brought back from the dead, and is completely legitimate, so you don’t worry about the system shutting down over night. You are more than welcome to create an account for yourself, script if you wish, and have fun.
The games are being reset on January 01, 2008, this includes MajorMUD, Trade Wars 2002, and whatever else is available that is actively being used. Anyone who is a former member of Run of the Mill will also have their accounts, and are welcome to come back.
All accounts are being restructured, so you may need to re-activate your account again. If you have any problems, please contact me on the board, and I will take care of it as soon as possible.
Run of the Mill is currently running on an ATi 128 MB VRAM, 10 GB HD, and 1024 MB RAM, 10/100 LAN, 20 MB to the internet, etc., so lag should not be an issue. I am also interested in people to help out with the board, such as operators, staff members, and such, please send “Master†a message when you login to the board, with your experience.
You can telnet to bbs.chware.com or chware.com. I am hosting this for my brother. I have a 20 MB connection to the internet, and extra bandwidth I am not using, so I figured why not. Telnet in, and write me, and I will upgrade you from whatever you’re at, to a member. (Or more, if you qualify,) only looking for so many positions.
You can telnet to bbs.chware.com or chware.com. The original owner, my brother does not want to run the board, and I talked him in to allowing me to run it, because I believe Worldgroup is the best of many packages, and I got his permission. You can login, create an account, and have fun.
Detailed Specs:
1. AMD Duron 1.8 GHz Processor.
2. 1024 MB (1 GB RAM) installed.
3. 10 GB HD (Windows XP Home).
4. 10/100 MB Local Area Network.
5. 20 MB Internet Connection.
6. VMWare Player (Worldgroup 2)
Yes, for those who are interested, it did take some time to figure out how to use Worldgroup with VMWare, but it can be done. Login to Run of the Mill BBS and enjoy yourselves, as of the New Year, its being reset (except accounts) so we all can have fun and enjoy the nostalgia.

Re: Back from the dead..
There are three accounts that were created 10/07/2007 and only two of them appear to have had the same problem. I see that “Ice†logged in earlier and I went to upgrade the account from NEWUSER and it said it does not exist, and the other account name I believe was “Coreyâ€. I know that “Belgarath†had created an account and was upgraded from NEWUSER without any problems and the account still exists.
I checked the status and activity log on the board and it does not report any errors, except from MailLink, and the some of the Vircom modules, but I don’t think that those will be causing the problem. I know that the board did have a GP fault crashed as a result twice this week, right after clean-up. There are a couple of things that I will be doing probably tonight or later this week though, and hopefully it corrects any problems.
You’re more than welcome to create an account again, as I will be on the board for awhile. I am going to bring the board down real fast since nobody else is on it, and make some changes that will hopefully avoid this problem. The board should be back up and accepting callers by 6:30 PM EST. I am sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused.

Re: Back from the dead..
Cool. I just removed the ANSI menus from a couple areas that I forgot to before. I will be putting up better menus whenever I get around to doing it.
I am also finishing up on a complete database recovery just in case there was any files corrupted or damaged that Worldgroup was not reporting. The recovery was last at MajorMUD when I had left that room to come back in to this room. But it should be up shortly, since there is not many more modules left.
I am also setting up a fast Poll & Questionnaire that you can use to validate your account without using the Auto-Validator. I know that this is/can be a problem, but is only a temporary way to validate people instantly.

Re: Back from the dead..
The board is back up and I've created that P&Q. I tried the http://arcticzone.dyndns.org/ address, and tried arcticzone.dyndns.org and couldn't connect.
Oops! I just noticed I did "articzone.dyndns.org" lol. Sorry about that. I know the http://arcticzone.dyndns.org/ didn't work for me, clicked on it in your signature.
I'm on your board now, but nobody else is on it. LOL

Sorry about that frcorey.
It seems that you're not the only one who has experienced this problem.
I made some changes to the board not too long ago, so it should be safe. You could use the Polls & Questionnaires ("ACCOUNT ACTIVATION") to activate your account instantly if/when you create your account agian.
When I came to keys later on the day you had created your account, I had verified one user, you on the other hand the board said did not exist. I went to activate Ice today, and it said they didn't exist.
So with the changes that I made, all should be well. Again I am sorry for the problems, and hopefully they're fixed.

Run of the Mill BBS Update.
I've moved the board from being in a virtual machine environment (was under VMWare Player 2.0) to its own machine, which has increased both performance and speed considerably. There have been many changes done to the classes on the board, and the MEMBER class is now UNLIMITED days whereas it was 30 days previously. There are several classes that have been removed as they were not used and/or were pointless in having.
The boards web site can be found at http://www.chware.com:8080/ but is using the standard pages that come with MajorTCP, and have not been changed or modified. Run of the Mill BBS may only be accessed through telnet, or the site through the address as displayed above. The board is also based on the Worldgroup BBS V2.00 technologies, therefore it does not have the login interface like that found in Worldgroup BBS V3.00+ NT.
If you access http://www.chware.com/, you will actually be accessing my site. This is something that I should of mentioned before, where it caused some confusion. I also have a couple sub-domain names setup for people from Paltalk, which are not my sites, and won't be mentioned on here. Anyway, hope to see people sign-up and have fun.
Run of the Mill BBS addresses:
. telnet: chware.com (or, bbs.chware.com)
. www: http://www.chware.com:8080/ (or, http://chware.com:8080)
P.S
I also setup a Poll & Questionnaire to instantly activate your account should the Auto-Validator don't work for you.
