MajorFido or DBSMail

Does anyone know where to find a working copy of ether DBSMail or MajorFido? I own both from back in the 80's and 90's but the disk are no good anymore. I don't think Dashboard ever did an update of DBSMail for WGNT but it would have been nice

If anyone can help it would be great...Thanks in advance!

I've been in touch with the author of DBSMail and he unfortunately no longer has the software or source code. It's a shame as it was the only fido-compatible add-on that handled the Fido packets live.

That sucks, what about MajorFIDO by Crystal Vision and later became CINECOM Corp does anyone have a working copy of that? It did the job just not live...guest a FIDO/QWK live mail handler MOD would be something I can start working on then at some point WGNT

Crystal Vision - Skip Potter - had everything on a RAID that had a proprietary controller. He was going to ship it to me for me to help him pull the CV software off, but suddenly decided not to and stopped answering. I found out later that he's a friend of Nate Hammond's and Nate apparently wanted the stuff.

Bizarre.

That sucks ....I have only gotten one email response from Nate Hammond and after that nothing, we were going to meet for coffee and then poof nothing. I have tried leaving voice messages and emails but nothing and all I wanted to do was give him money hehe buy another copy of WG for a client, had to find someone to sell me there old bbs to get that job completed...Bizarre is a nice way to put it all

I have had the same problem with Vircom, been trying for over a year to find out what the cost will be on a DMA server and never get a response ... so I am crossing my fingers that dspain comes through with his ICO/DMA mod. other wish I am back to hunting for a Vircom DMA Server or something like it.

I have a dma server LIC I could sell. I have tried to get vircom to sell the client lic for the 3.x nt servers. It will work with my reg number but for others to connecto to my dma server they need a code for the client.
Vircom will seel their stuff with no support. I offered to provide support if they would make the product avabile but they would not.

Also isn't the DMA server somehow attached to your BBS reg? so it wouldnt work for me then would it...or is it just another reg number to go with the DMA server?
