Who's Online-DIALWHO.DLL - Invalid access to memory location

Post by ensleyii »

I'm having a problem loading Who's Online.

Error is as follows...
LOADDLL - Unable to load module DIALWHO.DLL! Invalid access to memory location. (0x3e6)

Of course, when this error pops-up Worldgroup will not load up. when I disable it... Worldgroup loads up w/o a problem. I have also tried versions 2.5, 3.0 and 4.3. I am running Windows Server 2k3, WG3.30NT.

I emailed Marc about the issue and it seems he's short on help too.

Unforunately I no longer have a development staff for worldgroup software. I would just attempt to reinstall the latest build.

Yes, all three versions of who's online are the ones downloaded right off of the dialsoft website.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In my case, the server is running...

WG 3.30NT
OS: Windows Server 2003
RAM: 2GB
PROCESSOR: Intel Xeon 2.8GHz

The system runs fine w/o who's online being loaded. But, then again I do remember some other add-ons that I was unable to load because of other errors. It's been awhile since I tried those other add-ons. but, at least if I could get who's online back up and running my whole web interface would be flawless or at least close it. :D

After installing different versions. I did come across the file called DialWho.zip on http://azonebbs.dyndns.org/ and tried installing it. This does work to a certain extent. But it is only version 1.0 & the config page is not accessible. Now when any of the newer version downloaded from dialsoft get installed... The BBS just stops and put outs the error on the first post.

I have the same server setup as you, except I run 3.20NT, 3.30NT always gave me eractic errors.

Did your who's online module ever work with you setup?

It did awhile back until one time it just stopped working and I had to disable it to have the board come back up. Since then it's been disabled. Kind of a drag since it's one of the links that I used alot.
