MBBS & WorldGroup - a new start! :)

Post by MadMike »

Hello everybody,

looks like the forum is alive again, because since my last visit, I´ve read only spam entries and therefore I didn´t look again - but now it seems it´s growing again. :-)

I am still interested in setting up an own MBBS or WG system again. I still have WG 1 on disk, as well as several MBBS (last one was 6.25 I suppose) sys and add-ons.

Is there anybody able to help me with this matter? I suppose I need WG3 (including the activation code), but don´t know where to get it. Also I´m interested in add-ons like the internet add-on (tcp/ip, if I recall it right), entertainment add-on and some multi-player games, especially galactic empire and/or others as well.

Thank you in advance in this matter!

Best Regards,

Michael

P.S.: Will I be able to let this whole thing run on my intranet server through a DSL+ line with 16 Mbit/s without touching the other stuff I need on that sys? Sys is running WinXP Pro. Again - thank you!

Thanks - will take a look. Is it possible to upgrade to WG3 without any further costs or do I have to buy WG3 somewhere? I only have WG1. I had a contact that wanted to send me an activation code after I´ve given him my last activation code of MBBS 6.25/WG 1 but never heard anything from him yet - and thats about some month ago ...

Thanks again for the hint! :)

Cheers,

MadMike

If you're wanting to run Galactic Empire, the only crash-free version is the dos version, which will run on mbbs 6.25 or wg2. The best way to run the DOS version is through DOS, not DOS prompts, etc.

WG 3NT through windows xp pro will work fine. If you have your reg# handy, then some one should be able to help you with a new activation code for wg 3.xnt.
