ok so with patches 1-16 we tested various mechanics out and all came out well.
the next patch is a major overhaul and revision.
what you will have is a clone of 5.6c, all game commands with a few added and the game will be 100% playable.
this means no new skills, etc....
however you will have a replicate of the original with some revisions and changes to the original design.
character data will change, i will create a converter like i did last time so you wont lose your data.
when this version launches before anything is added new i will add more areas to give players something to do other than arena combat.
i will more than likely hire a designer to add this stuff in on the test server.
on the upside i have created an engine that will load all the DBF files from TAEDIT and load them up into an MS-ACCESS database then write to empty BTRIEVE databases.
this will allow me to take any 5.6xx data and convert it to the new format.
i may sell this converter to sysops or charge to convert data to the new, whichever is easier. but until i get it perfected ill try to get some content on the test server.

If this is helpful to you, i have the 5.6c world in a MySQL database..
First, i'd be nice to have a method of importing this into the new game (i can see a dump to ms-access, then use your converter as being an option).
Let me know if my db may be of use to you.
