Where Do We Stand?

Post by Logos »

So what's the status with the WG systems? can we Link? is there a hub or do we have to create one?

I didn't know we were going in two different directions (NV and WG). Obviously the WG is Terminal Mode (?) and the NV is WG and WL in CS Mode (though I use my brain and stick my foot in my mouth).

to date, WG-WL (C/S) will run on 2008 server. I will also run on a virtual drive with a different operating system. Will this solve the hardware problems?

Which modules are functional with WG 3.3?

well in v5.10 nv went a totally new direction with a facebook/twitter style interface with picture profiles and follower sttaus that can talk to your cellphone, etc... ( still up in the air with either an sms engine or generic email text sending) and Rick has stayed loyal to the hobbyist bbs front whereas NV disabled all terminal connections.

what you running a version 3 system or 2.0?

Worldlink v4 requires the 3.3 version unfortunately. There are just too many changes since the last version that ran on the DOS bbses to make backward compatibility worthwhile.

Well, yes, but it's a much older revision and won't interoperate with the "modern" server. I looked into downgrading the current modules for WG2, but it didn't go over well.
