Worldgroup Mud engine

Post by dspain »

created a new game engine this one is pretty polished, it runs in:

Terminal (A/A) mode .... Telnet
Client/Server (C/S) mode ... Using the WG Client
Web (A/H) mode ... Using your web browser

its pretty simple right now you create a character enter the game and talk to other people and all of the players see each other regardless of the interface you are connected to, it is still a work in progress but definately something worthy of having for wg and i wanted to have my own propietary gaming engine so i could release alot of my RPGs over the next few years under my own in house engine, so anyone wanting to help please feel free to post away, this is a community fueled project meaning i will be adding the features the sysops want to see most in a game engine and of course some sysops want what others do not so it will be highly configurable.

so any ideas, post here or pm me,

interested in the demos ive released the last couple days head over to arcticzone.dyndns.org and let me know what ya want, i got 4 released with 6 more coming including a couple big ones including Tradewars II.

i registered a 100 node TWGS server through EIS and i wanna get a good game going so any systems interested in linking up, let me know so i can send you the rlogin client patch so you can connect using a system id number .. ie: Sysop82644801

and Rick i need you to get with me on how you are generating reg codes now, i wanna shorten my system id addon to maybe the last 4 numbers
so i wanna make sure you never dupe the last 4 digits of a reg#
so if i connect from 82644801 i would be sysop4801 .... get where i'm going? allows multiple named users to connect to the same rlogin server using a mask so we can all keep our names in games.

but i have to build it based on how you are generating ids

A WG Mud capable of Ansi, Client and Web is a great idea. To many younger users don't know or want to fiddle with terminal mode or client mode.

Anyway, be glad to help with info and suggestions.
